Music references should work for every player. Here is what we do about it — and how to tell us when it falls short.

What’s built in

• Every color theme in the header picker is contrast-checked in CI against WCAG 2.x thresholds — including for common color-vision deficiencies.
• All interactive controls — tone maps, fingerboard cells, playback buttons — are keyboard-reachable with visible focus and proper ARIA states.
• Tone maps and fingerboard diagrams mirror for left-handed players via the header’s Lefty toggle.
• Pages carry a skip link, one H1, and a screen-reader live region for dynamic announcements.
• Audio never autoplays; everything is tap-to-hear.

Known limits

The fingerboard explorer and tone playback are inherently visual and aural tools; their underlying data (notes, string, finger, position, tunings) is always also presented as text on the same page.
